b'Message from the ChairIn the 2018-2019 school year, the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) community engaged in conversations about our future, working collaboratively to define four strategic priorities within a Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP). Strategic Priority 1 in the plan is Belonging: Creating a Culture of Equity and Inclusion. This is at the heart of our work as we aim to ensure everyone who works and learns in LRSD feels they belong and has a place in our growing and flourishing community. In the 2021-2022 school year, we further strengthened our shared commitment to Strategic Priority 1 by launching the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) and Anti-Racism Initiative with the board adopting Policy ACH: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in June 2022. This policy will strengthen the divisions commitment to advancing equitable opportunities for everyone in LRSD with the support and guidance of a bold, dynamic, and visionary DEI and Anti-Racism Services Team.
